Taken Saturday, 4 days after surgery...

The swelling was really bad at this point...

Could she be any more pitiful? She loved this bunny though...
Roz, and Ruth...2 of the sweet nurses who took care of YouYou on the floor...

Taken on Saturday of our second visit. YouYou was starting to look and feel better after they got rid of all that extra fluid. She chowed down on some noodles and chicken right after you left Bert, Tina and Sophie! Notice the shoulder..she insisted on wearing her gown like that that evening.

Thank you so much, Erica, for the pictures! They are adorable! I am so glad she is home with all of you and that you are together as a family once again! Praise the Lord! We are keeping YouYou in our prayers. I will call back again soon. Love you!

ReplyDeleteAaron and Erica, I just got a link to this blog from Melisa. YouYou is so CUTE! Back when I still worked with Aaron I knew you guys were looking to adopt, but I never knew the back story. I was going to say, "God bless you both." But He already has with a wonderful daughter. And He's blessed her with a truly loving family who was willing to take such emotional and financial risks to bring her home and make her healthy. I'll keep you all in my prayers and thoughts.
ReplyDeleteOh I remember that swollen little face all too well. She looks SO GOOD and so happy! I am so glad that she is feeling better. Can't wait to see all of you again!
ReplyDeleteGlad that she is home... don't post for awhile and just ENJOY being a family and being together! So excited to see her healing. I hope she really starts to feel like a new kid with her new [repaired] heart, that she might thrive in unexpected, delightful ways! I'm sure her brothers can put some zip into her days! :-)
ReplyDeletecheers to you, --chris f
