Prayers for Friday

I wanted to let you all know that we were able to come home last night. We got home around 9:30 and YouYou slept through the night. She seems a little fussy this morning so I think we will give her some Tylenol (they said the wound on her leg might be a little sore for a few days).

I'm headed to the Dr. in just a few minutes. You know I'm sick when I leave my house without a shower, without makeup, without fixing my hair...I might brush my teeth but that will be all. Aaron is taking care of the kids today so hopefully I can just rest.

So we are through the first step! Praise the Lord! I wish how many steps we had to go, but I will just take it one day at a time. My sweet friend Carolyn often reminds me that sometimes you just have to take it one minute at a time. The next big event is the meeting that the Dr.'s are having on Friday. I don't know what time, but Dr. Romp did say he would call me sometime on Friday to let me know what their decision is. I think Aaron layed it out pretty clearly, but the three treatments/surgeries they will discuss are 1)the band, least invasive but still risky, 2) OHS to close the VSD, and 3) wait, research the double switch more and probably get second opinions from Dr.'s in Boston.

Please pray that the Dr.'s will be in agreement and that they will be given wisdom from the Lord.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Erica

P.S. I apologize for the bad table manners YouYou was displaying in the video I posted yesterday. We still have some things to work on :)

  7. You You is absolute doll! I know all of you are in God's hands and He is in control and taking care of all of you. Dr. Romp was our cardiologist, too. You are in wonderful hands. He was always able to bring us such comfort and I pray he can do the same for you. Our daughter, Allie, had open heart surgery at 4 1/2 months and also had puliminary hypertension. Things looked very dire, but she made it through magnificently and is doing well now almost a year later. We learned - just as you are learning - that yes... one minute at a time is sometimes all you can take. Don't try to take more steps than one at a time. And of course, hold tight to your Faith. I have found You You via LuLu's World. You all will be in my prayers.
